Dexter Episode Guide

Dexter is an American TV drama series based on novels by author Jeff Lindsay. The show revolves around Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), a charismatic forensic blood spatter analyst who by day works for the Miami Metro Police Department, but by night Dexter moonlights as a serial killer.

On the surface, he looks like the average guy. He has a sister, Debra Morgan (Jennifer Carpenter), that adores him and a wife, Rita (Julie Benz), with three kids that look up to him. However they have no idea about his extracurricular activities at night.

Basing his life on the teachings of his foster father, Dexter only kills people who truly deserve it: he ensures that those who got away with horrible crimes will never kill again

But Dexter is not your usual serial killer. He lives by "the Code of Harry", a set of rules and procedures taught by his adoptive father and ex cop Harry Morgan to make sure Dexter only kills people who truly deserve it. Harry also taught Dexter to socially function despite his dissociative mental illness, which arose from Dexter witnessing the brutal slaughter of his biological mother.
