Bones Episode Guide

Bones is an investigative drama following the brilliant forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel). She leads a team at the Jeffersonian Institute that assists law enforcement by identifying human remains that are so badly decomposed, burned, or destroyed that the standard FBI forensic identification methods are useless. Her unique talents enable her to find hidden clues that others may not see.

Temperance has been teamed with cocky yet charming Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz), a former Army Ranger Sniper who in contrast solves crime by following his gut instincts rather than hard science. Brennan and Booth often clash on how to best approach a case, but the chemistry between them is growing and has made them a strong and trusting team.

Dr. Brennan's team of brilliant scientists (or "squints" as they're often called) at the Jeffersonian include Dr. Jack Hodgins (T.J. Thyne), who is a forensic scientist specializing in insects, spores and minerals; Temperance's best friend Angela Montenegro (Michaela Conlin) who created a unique way of facial reconstruction and Brennan's boss Dr. Cam Saroyan (Tamara Taylor).

To resolve the personal and professional conflicts between Booth and Brennan, psychologist Dr. Lance Sweets (John Francis Daley) signed on in season three as their therapist. Sweets is also a trained profiler who contributes his unique behavioral analysis background to the investigations.

  In the 6th season finale, the team investigates the disturbing, unidentifiable remains of a bowler that were found jammed in one of the bowling alley's automatic pinsetters. After hitting a dead end in the case, Booth and Brennan decide to go undercover and join a competitive bowling team in search of answers.
